01/28/2009 Community Collection Day will give nonprofits a hand
Community Collection Day is a new event designed to help nonprofit organizations get the items they need to keep their programs going. The event is sponsored by Burlington Outlet Village, the United Way of Alamance County and the Times-News. Several nonprofit agencies will have empty boxes and tables set up in a store between Paper Factory and Bonworth at Burlington Outlet Village from Noon to 5pm on February 7.

Interested in learning how to launch your own business? Alamance Community College is offering a class designed to help people create a strong business plan and learn what they need to know to make it happen. The college will offer the class beginning Jan 26 through its Small Business Center. The Small Business Center is working with Burlington Outlet Village to offer free retail space for a business.
