The Humane Society of Alamance County invites you to meet your perfect pet at Burlington Outlet Village in the Hanes Mill Outlet building.  Adoption fairs will be held the third Saturday of each month.  Volunteers will be on hand to introduce you to canine and feline foster animals from 1:00-3:00 PM.  Call the HSAC at 438-2023 or visit them online at www.hsaconline.org, where you can view foster pet profiles, or click on "calendar" for additional details.

Local farmers and craft vendors are waiting to serve you at this great weekly event, offering easy interstate access (Exit 145), a central location, ample parking, and a great site for a family-friendly market!  Come support your local farmers and artisans as you enjoy the bounty of our region with wine from the Haw River valley, source-verified local beef, pork, farm-fresh eggs, local honey, homemade preserves, pickles, and relishes - and an abundance of high quality, seasonal fruits and vegetables.  In addition, we have talented craftspeople and artisans, who offer handmade one-of-a-kind creations.  When you visit, stop by for a great ready-to-eat meal from the Barbecue Joint - with much more than barbecue!  For those of you who've been trying to find the time, our information area features a VOTER REGISTRATION booth, as well as a different Community Partner each week.  We also provide fun, wholesome children's activities, including PONY RIDES, crafts, face painting, giant bubbles, and lawn games, to make this an event the entire community will seek out and cherish.  The market runs every Sunday afternoon through the end of October.  If you are (or know someone who is) interested in receiving a vendor application, please contact our Market Manager, Rachel Rose, at burlingtonfarmersmarket@aacre.com.
